A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 2969 South Mendenhall Road, where she was a long-time active member. Cookie was one of the most gracious and loving friend. We were high school friends from 1950. We reminisced about those days and college times over these last 70 years. She will be missed by me forever.

I witnessed the constant joy, support, fellowship and love from Cookie for her sister, Pat, my dear friend. I only met Cookie on one occasion, at her church, but that was enough to experience how gracious and genuinely warm she was - a special person.

Ms. Cookie has been our neighbor for 21 years. She has always been wonderful to our family. She was the first to welcome us to the neighborhood. She was always willing to assist whenever needed. She was a wonderful soul who will be greatly missed. Our condolences go out to the family. May God bless and keep you all during this time. And may His arms continue to comfort you.
