Peyton Cox Obituary
Peyton was born December 8, 1996 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of Lindsey Dewayne Cox and Jacqueline Heather Cox. He graduated from Gateway Christian School in 2015 and worked as a cable technician for many years and for a professional cleaning service.
Peyton enjoyed monster truck events, video games, car racing, boating and swimming. He loved animals, especially his dog, Oreo. Peyton was interested in history, particularly the Viking Era. He was a devoted father to his children.
Peyton leaves behind five children, Adelina Adkins (age 9), Payton Cox (age 7), Gabriel Cox (age 5), Ky Cox (age 2) and Kol Cox (age 2) all of Hamlin, WV; his father, Dewayne Cox (Melissa) of Somerville, TN; his mother, Heather Ozier Robbins (Mark) of Henderson, TN; two sisters, Madi Ozier of Nashville, TN and Triston Elrod of Williston, TN; two stepsisters, Gabi Tipler of Williston, TN and Brittany Rice of Hays, KS; his maternal grandparents, Hayne and Debbie Ozier of Bolivar, TN; his paternal grandparents, Lindsey and Vicky Cox of Bernie, MO; and his maternal great-grandmother, Dolly Lee of Somerville, TN.
Peyton grew up with his uncles, Jonathan Ozier (Katie) of Nashville, TN, Aaron Ozier (Amy) of Oldsmar, FL, Justin Ozier (Sharnee) of Colton Plant, AR, Kevin Cox of Bernie, MO, Jeff Cox of Bernie, MO and Robert Rogers (Jennifer) of Mason, TN; and his aunts, Holly Ozier Tennyson (Aaron) of Moscow, TN, Angel Ozier Locario (Anthony) of Sheridan, AR, Dana Stevens (Thomas) of Millington, Beth Cox of Bernie, MO and Amanda Rogers of Braden, TN.
He was preceded in death by his stepbrother, Blake Tipler.
A visitation for Peyton will be from 12 noon until 2 P.M. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Gregg Hauss officiating.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Aaron Ozier, Kevin Cox, Jeff Cox, Chris Stevens and Marcus Cabrera.
