Richard “Richie” Kendrick Pratt Jr. 43 of Oakland Tn. went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 14, 2025.
Richie was born February 23, 1982 in Las Vegas, Nv. to Richard Kendrick Pratt and Durenda Lester-Pratt. His family moved to Seattle, Wa., when he was 18 months old. Seattle is where he grew up.
He graduated from Ingraham High School in Seattle and attended Edmonds Community College. In high school he was voted friendliest male student. He was captain of the golf team and most inspirational golfer. He also participated in Washington Junior golf. He was a drummer for the marching band, concert band and jazz band. He had a drum set and loved jamming in the basement with his friends who played guitar playing Nirvana.
During his career he wore many hats. He worked at Interbay golf in Seattle. He worked as a chef for the Marlboro Penske racing team at many promotional events including the Indy 500. He was also a private chef for a family in Montana. He received Employee of the month on various jobs. He worked at Texas De Brazil in Las Vegas and was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for providing ‘Excellent Customer Service’ by the CEO of Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce and the CEO of Las Vegas Convention and Visitor’s Authority. He then worked in logistics and then in manufacturing. He was so smart and excelled at every job he had.
He never met a stranger. He was so kind, polite, loving, caring, funny, and full of life and always had a big smile on his handsome face..
He loved golf, music, cars, playing pool, playing ping pong, and loved nice clothes, and shoes. All of his shoes looked like new.
He was deeply loved by so many and will be fondly remembered, warmly loved, forever missed, but not forgotten.
Richie is survived by his father, Richard Kendrick Pratt, his mother, Durenda Lester-Pratt, his aunts Brenda Smith (Clyde) of Little Rock, Ar, Joann Danna of Douglas, Ga., Molly Pratt of Nashville, Tn., and his uncle Gary Wright of Memphis, Tn. He leaves so many loving cousins and a plethora of friends.
Richie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Virginia Pratt, J.W. and Virginia Lester, his
uncles, James Pratt and James Hurst, his aunt, Debbie Lester-Wright and his first cousin, Leseley Wright.
A celebration of life is being held in Seattle by his dear friends, Marco and Sarah Quiones on October 12th, 2025. A memorial will be held at a later date for his family members and local friends.

I am sorry to learn of the death of Richie Pratt. I have known his father since we were children at East High School in Memphis, TN. I met Richie a few years ago at the Pratt home in Oakland, TN.
