Ronald Burns Obituary

Ronald Burns, 78, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on December 4, 2025. Born December 24, 1946, in Dortmund, Germany, he was the son of the late Katie and L.D. Burns.

Ron was the devoted husband of the late Nancy Corbett Burns and proud father of Nancy Davis Pence (Brian) and Jennifer Anne Reed (Don). He was a loving grandfather to Grace Davis O'Leary (Brad), Clifford "Chip" Davis IV (Emma), and Cole Reed, and great-grandfather to Ann Kathryn O'Leary. He also leaves behind his sister Rosemary Chwojko (Ted), sister-in-law Mary Ann Wright (Dan), and many nieces and nephews.

A veteran of the Korean War, Ron worked as a Certified Public Accountant. He found joy in his extensive music collection, often creating personalized playlists for loved ones. He also admired the film The Big Lebowski and embraced its spirit, wishing to be remembered simply as "The Dude."

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alpha Omega Veterans Services, Inc. or charity of their choice.

He will be remembered for his love of family, his service to others, and the music and laughter he shared with all who knew him. A private family service will be held to honor his life. "The Dude Abides".
