Terry Davis Obituary
Terry was born July 16, 1947 in Booneville, Mississippi, the son of the late John Norman Davis and Arlene Miller Davis. He graduated from Westside High School in Memphis, Tennessee and was an avid sports fan who was a top athlete in his younger years. He was married March 17, 1972 to Mary Drake Davis and was an engineer for many years before his retirement. Terry loved his family and poured his life into his grandchildren's activities, and made many memories playing golf with his lifelong friends. He never met a stranger and was always entertaining.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Davis; his daughter, Brandy Davis Lindsay; three grandchildren, Caden Lindsay, Brynna Lindsay and Breckyn Lindsay; and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nephews and two great-great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Dennis Davis; his sister Junie Gonterman; and his brother-in-law Harry Gonterman.
A visitation for Mr. Davis will be from 11:30 A.M. to 1 P.M. Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Memorial Services will be at 1 P.M. Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Thomas Foy officiating.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society, 5101 Wheelis Drive, Suite 100, Memphis, TN 38117.
