Thank you for inspiring us, your students, to change the world with your words of wisdom and insight, Mr. Daniel. You made us laugh, made us think, and, most of all, you helped us hope for something better and believe in ourselves. God bless you and your family.

John was my history teacher my sophomore and senior year. He had a great attitude towards teaching and life in general. Out of all of the teachers I had in high school he was the one that had the most encouraging words. My deepest sympathies to his family. Please know that he will be remembered by the thousands of students that passed through his classroom. His memory will live on.

Although I didn't enjoy my last few years of Highschool, looking back he was one of the most mindful and memorable teachers I had. He talked about issues from a different standpoint, and gave very insightful answers to my questions. I hope you are reading this wherever you are, you impacted lives you never knew you did. You will be missed!

Mr. Daniels was a favorite teacher of my son's. He inspired students with government issues and he had respect for students individualities. We are very sad of this news, our condolences to his family. Thank you Mr. Daniel for the time you gave us. RIP

Mr. Daniel was my son's favorite teacher at Harbor High....and one that he had much respect for and learned a great deal from. I thank him for his exceptional teaching skills and want to express my thoughts and prayers to his family and son. He will be missed by many...family, friends, and his students that dearly loved him.

My deepest condolences, Johnny was a good friend when we were kids going to school together and was an inspiration to so many students as a teacher at Newport Harbor. Both my daughters and my nephew who were lucky to have him as a teacher and remember him fondly, were also saddened to hear of his passing. He will be missed by many.

My deepest sympathy to Johnny's family, he lived across the street from us when he was a boy and played with my children and much to our delight he ended up being a teacher to 3 of our grandchildren and they all loved him. He had a great sense of humor and leaves us with many good memories. MY children were NIkki and Chuckie Colletti that he was friends with.
