Robert Berg

Robert Gene Berg passed away on 11/14/18. He leaves behind his children Kathleen Lauderdale, Ron Fenley and Bill Berg, grandchildren Lauren and Sam Perle, Matt Lauderdale, Spencer Lauderdale and great grandchild Beckett Perle. Robert left Staten Island at the age of 17 with his 4 best friends for California and never looked back. He joined the Marine Corps during the Korean war and when it ended he went back to his favorite place, California. He became a Los Angeles Fire Fighter and married Donna Lee Dale and they had 2 children Kathleen and Billy. Later in life he lost his wife to cancer and married Jean Naugler Fenley and her children Ron and Doreen. Bob and Jean loved to go to Hawaii every year for their anniversary. Bob retired as a Captain 2 in the LAFD and continued his second career in real estate. He was very successful in the business due to his hands on attitude of always putting his clients best interest before making a profit. He loved his family and friends and would always fight for the check at the end of a meal, generous to a fault. He was truly an exceptional Human Being and a great father to his family. He will be missed by many and that is the truest measure of the kind of man he was.
