Aaron Dotson Obituary
With extraordinary values and an uncompromising faith in the Lord, Aaron was a beacon of light for all who knew him. He lived a life dedicated to God, his family, and his friends.
His remarkable military career as a social worker officer spanned over two decades, earning the Legion of Merit award.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Frances (Dolly) Jenkins Dotson, parents Hessie and Luvinia Dotson, brother Joseph Dotson and daughter Tanya Acosta.
Survivors include three children: Adrian Dotson (Michelle), David Dotson (Sebrina), and Monique Acosta, sisters Willie Mae Johnson and Elizabeth Green.
Viewing is Friday, October 6, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., J.T. Fisher Funeral Services.
The Life Celebration Service will be held on Saturday, October 7 at 11:00 a.m. in New Hope Baptist Church located at 1317 Gust Lane.
The interment will occur at 2:00 p.m. at Hampton Memorial Gardens, at 155 Butler Farm Rd., on Saturday, October 7th.

I met COL Dotson four years ago at a service for one of his fellow 761st tankers. He spoke to the congregation with absolute eloquence and grace. It was a personal honor to have met you, sir. Be Thou at Peace

I did not have the pleasure of knowing him but I can tell his service Helped so many people my dad was awarded the same medal God bless him and your family I´m sorry for your loss but remember his...... And his Cherish the memories and let others help you through this hard times God bless
