Alfred WALTERS Obituary
Mr. Walters served in the military during WW II and was a member of the American Legion Post 25, V.F.W. and Exchange Club.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Walters; daughter, Sandra Baxley; stepdaughters, Karen M. Parrish and Joette Gambrel; stepson, Michael Parcells; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, at Peninsula Funeral Home.
At Mr. Walters' request, his body will be donated to the State Anatomical Program.
Donations may be made to the American Legion Post 25, 7609 Marshall Ave., Newport News, VA 23605.

Robert Weatherman: Marie, you and Al have always been an extention of my family, I love you both. I will miss Al. Over 40 plus years that I have know you both we have shared many happy times and events. If you need me please call. I will pay my respects tonight. You and your family are in my prayers. Bob

Marie, this is Richard Martin. I am very sorry about Al's passing. I know he will be greatly missed by everyone who got to know him and especially the family. I remember sitting with you and Al in the legion and having great discussions, it was always a pleasure to be in your company. Al made the American Legion a much better place for veterans and he was a leader with out a doubt. You are a great lady Marie, God bless you with his love and comfort.
