Annie PERKINS Obituary
Born in Halifax Country, N.C., she had been a resident of the Peninsula since 1992.
Mrs. Perkins was preceded in death by her son, Jerome Perkins; and grandmother, Vater Perkins.
Surviving, are her children, Veronica Harris of Hampton and Anthony Perkins of Columbia, Md.; sister, Mary Eliza Kee and her husband, James Warren; and grandchildren, Carl Richardson Jr., Diamond Perkins, Khadijah Perkins and Destinee Perkins.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in downtown Hampton by Pastor Kevin Wood. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.

To our Family,
We love you so much. Once again God came for another Perkins, to join with our loved ones that's gone on ahead of us. Just because there's work in heaven with nothing but peace, love, happiness and rejoicing with the angels. For months and months God took his angel(Auntie Nearl) off of her feet laid her down, and then he rested her mind and body until he called her into his kingdom. We must continue to carry on their legacies and stayed prayed up so we can rejoice with all of them again in a place where there's no more sickness, suggering, crime, poverty etc. nothing but joy.
