Art rapidly excelled in his career and retired from the Navy in 1976 as a Lieutenant Commander. He worked three years at the Virginia Electric Power Company as the key maintenance coordinator of the nuclear power plant in Surry, VA. He retired again in 1979 and moved to Burnet, Texas where he volunteered at the Cassie volunteer fire department, excelling once again as fire chief for 26 years.

I am so blessed to have met Art near the end of his time here on earth. When I would visit with Anthonnette, we would sit in the living room on the couch where he could see us and join in with the conversation.
I know he will be missed by his loving family. He is in heaven now with his heavenly family.
Sending many blessings to Andy and his family with much love and peace always.
Terry
