She was predeceased by both of her parents, Linwood Rufus Hawthorne, and Ruth Mildred Pearson Hawthorne.
Celebrating her life and continuing her legacy are her siblings, Linwood Rudolph Hawthorne, Newport News, VA; Pamela Crawford Elliott (Arthur), Burgaw, NC; and Vincent Leon Hawthorne, Hampton, VA. Five nieces, Shaunta Williams, Hampton, VA; Courtney Lewis (Curray), Hampton, VA; Whitney Crawford, Tacoma, WA; Lauren Hawthorne, San Francisco, CA; and Alayne Hawthorne, Philadelphia, PA. One nephew, Linwood Hawthorne (Simone), Hampton, VA. Two aunts, Annie Mae Pearson Williams, Baltimore, MD, and Maude Pearson Hall (Herbert), Chesapeake, VA. Four uncles, Percy Lee Pearson (Geraldine), Chesapeake, VA; Richard Edward Pearson (Mary), Emporia, VA; Linwood Earl Pearson, Henrico County, VA; and Joseph Dennis Pearson, Petersburg, VA. Friends to the end, Michelle, Denise and Belinda will forever be changed because of their friendship.
Viewing will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 3:00 PM -6:00 PM at Cooke Brothers Funeral Home 1601 27th St, Newport News, VA 23607 (757) 380-0251.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church 154 Westward Rd, Freeman, VA 23856. Interment to follow in the Pearson Family Cemetery. www.pearsonandsonfuneralhome.com
