Aunt Marlene, Teresa and Cindy, I want you to know how special Uncle Jim was to our family, as are you all. I have some wonderful memories of the friendship we had with you when we lived in Virginia in the 60s. Dad said that he was a great guy. We will miss him a lot. I first met Carl while he was working at the wellness center. While I certainly dreaded going to the gym in the morning, everytime I went Carl was there with a big smile and handshake. The same could be said of Carl on Sunday mornings at Bethel Baptist when he would walk up and down the aisle to shake hands and greet everyone. He will be missed by many.

Mrs Higgins I knew Mr Higgins from the Wellness Center, in fact he and I were talking about our dogs on 9-11-01 when I happened to look up at the bank of TV's and saw one of the twin towers in New York burning. I said something to Carl and he looked up in time to see the second plane hit the other tower.I know that is a day all of us will remember as I will always remember Carl. A great gentleman. Please except my sincere condolences and may God be with you and your family.
