To the Family of Dennis Lowery, Sr.
In 1966, Dennis and I, along with the rest of the graduating class walked across the stage at George Washington Carver High School to receive our diploma. During that time, I knew Dennis as a classmate. The memories that I have of him are good ones because we all attended the school as a family of friends.
My heart and my prayers go out to you during your time of loss. May God give you the peace and extend all of His blessings to you at this time.

To the Family of Dennis C. Lowery, Sr.
I felt comfort and joy after attending the homecoming for Dennis.
Dennis and I became very good friends during our days as students and members of G.W.Carver H.S. football team. Although we both lived in Hampton,Va. we continued to attend Carver H.S.in Newport News,Va. I guess there was something about that "Carver High School Spirit" that we liked. I can still recall those days that with the help of our parents we commuted to Carver each day until we learned how to drive.
As young men driving our parent's cars, I can recall Dennis always making sure we arrived back home safely.Dennis cared about people and was very sensitive and
fun-loving. We had a lot of good times together.
After high school and throughout his travels my thoughts and prayers were always with Dennis because I knew he would return home safely.
May God comfort the Lowery/Smith Family
because there is now JOY!!!
Dennis has returned home Safely!!!

Our condolences go out to the family of Dennis Lowery. We have lost a dear friend and classmate. We remember the smile that he radiated wherever he went. He was voted “Most Popular” in our class and he really will be missed. He was one of the co-captains of our football team and proved to be a great leader. We will forever remember Dennis.

I extend heartfelt condolences to the Family of Dennis "DC" Lowery. Though it has been [over] thirty years since we worked here, at Newport News Shipbuilding, when word came of your journey, on high, blessedly home; it was effortless recalling . . . that engaging spirit, the handsome countenance, the hard-hitting G.W.Carver High School football linebacker, the friend. Now, may heaven, both enrich and reward you, [for] an earthly toil over life's vineyard, the sun and the rain, having so nurtured the alpha to omega that was your life.
