We met only once, but I feel I knew him well. Jami spoke of him so often with Love and Respect. It's terrible his life was cut so short. My heart goes out to His Family and Fiancé.

It's so very hard to believe that you're gone Derrick. You were just a baby yourself and you're going to be missed by a lot of people. You had a special light and you touched so many lives in the short time that you were here. I feel blessed to be one of those lives. I hadn't seen you in the last few years and I wish that I had, but I know that you're in a better place. Give everyone up there big hugs for me please. Until we meet again, rest in peace. Prayers going up for all of your family and friends.
