Dot was a Blessing to all who knew her. She was always fun to be around. I was shocked to hear that she could ever grow old, because she was sooo full of youthful spirit.
God Bless Dot Durrette and those she touched!

I didn't know Dorothy but knew her brother-in-law, Phillip, well as a younger man. And I remember Dorothy's husband coming to visit the Durrette family often. Phillip, I am very sorry to hear of your family's loss and you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I have thought of you often as we both continue to age, hopefully with God's grace.

Peace of the Lord be with all of my and may He ease your sorrow.

Dearest Grandmother,
Although years have passed since we last hugged my arms have always been around you. You are the glue that kept the family together. Growing up you were more than a grandmother to my sisters and I you were our supportive mother, caregiver, shelter, and friend. I will never forget the smell of swiss steak when we would come in from long travels, or the fun my cousins and I would have at your home on Chesapeake Bay crabbing making pet rocks and playing in the basement. My heart will forever feel the void of losing you but I am happy to know you've joined my grandfather and sister. Kiss them for me. We will hug again one day. I love you!
Fondest memories,
