Edith Lea Moody

1921 - 2018

Edith Lea Moody, 96, took the Stairs to Heaven, on Saturday, April 7, 2018 to join her Lord and Savior. Her time was spent working and raising 4 children and was the best Mother and role model ever. We always called her our “Little Mama�. She enjoyed fishing, boating and yes, even motorcycle riding in her younger years. She will be dearly missed but much love will always be with her. Edith was preceded in rest by her husband of 68 years, Herman B. Moody, her parents, George Guthrie and Myrtle Ried as well as 2 sisters. She is survived by her sons, Lindsey Moody (JoAnn) and Dale Moody (Sue); daughters, Sheila B Hooks and Sherry L Duncan (Tom); 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A celebration of Edith’s life will be held at 2pm Wednesday, April 11 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family wishes to thank the wonderful Hospice team and a great special thank you with lots of love goes to Danielle whom our mother loved and enjoyed all the time.
