Joe, Carolyn & Family,
Your daddy was my Sunday school teacher at Parkview when I was in the Youth Dept. We have missed him for the 28 years that he has been gone.
Please know that your're in my thoughts and prayers.

Saddened today to see my old Sunday School teacher Mr. Bell has passed away. I've many good memories of sitting in his classroom there at Parkview Baptist Church back in the early 70"s. I look back, laugh and wonder how he ever put up with the likes of Tal Ambrose, Walter Saunders, myself and a host of other young rascals. He kept us squared away and in line (must have been his military experience) and taught us many a good Godly lesson. I remember well him opening his home to us there on Clinton Dr and us boy's enjoying some of Mrs. Bells wonderful country cooking. I moved away in the late 70's and lost touch with the Bell's. After entering the shipyard in the fall of 1984, I saw where Mr. Bell had left his mark there in the X-43 Dept. I remember many fella's there speaking highly of Henry Bell, as he was a man who lived his faith 7 day's a week. I am very thankful that God allowed me to be blessed by life of such a good man, Henry Bell. My prayers go out to his entire family, and I am sure they are blessed by the legacy he leaves behind.

Henry was a dear friend to our entire family, no matter when you met him in your lifes walk, you felt like you had known him your whole life.
There were no strangers in the Bell household, only new friends come to call. When Henry stepped into glory and met His Savior Jesus, the next thing he would want to see is Dorothy...and then he probably asked for a warm oatmeal raisin cookie. We will miss your wonderful smile and warm friendship, but we do not grieve, for our parting is only temporary and we shall see you again in that home not made by man's hand, but by God!

He was a wonderful man and a lifelong friend of my parents. The Bells often traveled with my parents to visit me in various places I lived so I have fond memories of going to Knoxville World Fair, Disney World and the NC State Fair. He will be missed by his family and friends! I extend my deepest sympathy to all Mom send her sympathy also.
