Henry James Grance

WILLIAMSBURG - Henry James Grance, 82, of Williamsburg, passed away Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, at Patriot's Colony. Henry was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and had been a Williamsburg resident since 1982. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and retired from Gulf Oil Company as an automotive engineer. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and was on the tennis team. He enjoyed being a member of the Kings Mill Tennis Club. Mr. Grance is survived his wife, Mary Ann Grance; two sons, Robert J. (Bob) Grance and wife, Nancy, from San Antonio, Texas, Richard K. (Dick) Grance and wife, Gayle, of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren, Heather and Holly Grance of San Antonio and Jennifer, Kristin, and Melissa Grance of Austin, Texas. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, Oct. 16, 7 to 8:30, at Nelsen Funeral Home. Funeral service to be held Sunday evening, 5:00, at the funeral home. Internment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, Building Fund. Nelsen Funeral Home, Williamsburg, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
