Isabelle PARKS Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Isabelle Pope Parks, 82, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Riverside Hospital after a brief illness.
Born March 22, 1928, in Warsaw, N.C., she was the wife of the late Clifton Earl Parks. She worked as a waitress on Washington Avenue for many years, serving hungry shipyard workers during the peak of the shipbuilding era, and lived in Warwick Mobile Home Estates. Isabelle had a love for animals, keeping cats and dogs as pets in her home or just enjoying the wildlife in her yard. Lately she enjoyed watching television, especially Mayberry RFD.
She is survived by her beloved sons, Robert Parks of Hampton and John Parks of Newport News.
Isabelle will be laid to rest in North Carolina at a later date. Cremation Society of Virginia are serving the family. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.
