Janice Lynne Fiedorowicz, 59, passed away on September 14, 2021. She was born in Valdosta, Georgia, and delighted in being a military "brat" living in many places around the world. She lived in Hampton for over 30 years. Janice graduated with honors from Thomas Nelson Community College. She worked as a concierge at The Arbors in Port Warwick for the past 17 years and deeply cared for the residents there. Janice was an active member of Olivet Christian Church.

Janice leaves her beloved husband David after 38 years of marriage; their son Ryan (Faith) and 3-year-old grandson Jaxon; parents Ray and Elaine Minch; sisters Debi Vandromme (Larry) and Terri Osner (Brent); brother-in-law Johnny Fiedorowicz; sisters-in-law Lisa McCormick (Terence) and Julie McGonagle (Mike), and is survived by a host of relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Denbigh United Presbyterian Church, 302 Denbigh Blvd, Newport News, VA 23608. Pastor Dave Willis of Olivet Christian Church will conduct the service. Please wear a mask and maintain social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements made by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, Hampton, VA 23669.

We knew Janice through The Arbors for 15 years. My Father was a resident there during her time and she was a wonderful, friendly and gracious woman. She always greeted us when visiting Dad with a great big hug and "how are you". My Dad loved her and spoke of her so often. She continues to be missed. We keep her in our memories. Heaven has received an angel. We will see her again one day.

To David and the Family of Janice: Oud deepest sympathy to all of you in the untimely passing of Janice. We had known her thru The Arbors where my Father lived for 14 years until last year. She passed on the same day as my Dad, Wilbur Rowe a year ago. She was such a wonderful, warm friendly woman that we got to know well thru the years. How very much she will be missed. Our hearts and love go out to all of you at this sad and difficult time. She will be remembered with much love and many thoughts. God bless her soul and to all of you.

Janice was a class act. Beautiful inside and out. She took care of every need we had for our Mother Elizabeth Boyd Parsons. Her smile and laugh were infectious and comforted many people at the Arbors as they faced any challenge. I will miss her, but I know she is sitting in heaven having a conversation with our Nana.. Rest In Peace my friend.. till we meet again.

Janice was not only my close friend but my co-worker for 16 years. We shared so much fun at work and away from work. It is hard going back not seeing her there. My thoughts and prayers are with her entire family and friends who loved her as much as I did.

Everyone who was blessed enough to have known and loved Janice feels the pain of her loss. She was that special. She loved her family and friends. She loved being David´s wife and Ryan´s Mom but she loved being Jaxon´s Meme most of all. She was loved and she will be remembered. She fought hard to stay with us but God needed another Angel to watch over us. Prayers for all who loved her.

Janice was a wonderful lady and was doing the work at which she was the best! She was a great and caring friend to my mother at the Arbors for many years. She was always so kind and helpful to not only my mother, but to our family as well.
