Having met with Jay recently in Oakwood, I very much enjoyed his company. He was a charming man, with many interests, and I found the time just flew by as our conversations continued. He was very interested in the stories he read in his special little Bible, which he had right next to him on the side table, an older Bible that was well worn from use.

He also talked about a lady-friend of his that he didn't want to come see him - not because he didn't care, but so that she wouldn't see him in his frail condition...

Next time I went back, Jay had been moved from Oakwood, and I missed him.
Sorry I didn't make it back sooner, but I'm glad we connected when we did. I hadn't seen him since childhood.

My deepest condolences to the family, Marie & Marian especially. I pray the peace of God will surround you both with all comfort. Many prayers are being sent your way, with much love...
