John Boutchard Obituary
A native of Newport News, he had been a Hampton resident for 10 years. A graduate of Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice School, he retired as a payroll supervisor for Newport News Shipyard after 43 years of service. He was a member of the Original Club and was also a member of Denbigh Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Boutchard was preceded in death by his father, John W. Boutchard Sr.; mother, Mae Williamson Boutchard; his wife of 44 years, Dorothy Fowler Boutchard and daughter, Ann Boutchard Spady.
Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Boutchard Amory and husband, Capres of Suffolk; son-in-law, John Spady of Yorktown; and three grandchildren, Capres B. Amory Jr. and Kacy L. Amory of Suffolk and Emily L. Spady of Yorktown.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Peninsula Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 11835 Canon Blvd., Suite A-102, Newport News, VA 23606.

Jack was a wonderful and kind neighbor. He loved watching the sunrise from his deck on Buckroe Beach, and he always had a pleasant greeting for us.

John leaves behind many memories of the good times we all had in fellowship at the Original Club. There were times to laugh and times for sadness and this is surely one of those times. I will always cherish my friendship with John and will miss him always.
