Well Mike, your granddaughter, Anthena, was born this morning. She weighed in at 6lbs 12oz, which I found out from you mom, was your birth weight. She is absolutely beautiful. You would be so proud of how well your daughter did bringing this beautiful life into this world. I wish that you would have been standing next to me this morning, but I know that you had the best seat in the house and was right there with all of us. I am sad that Athena will never get to know the great man that you were. I know that we had our issues, but you always made sure to take good care of me and the kids. I will make sure that she grows up knowing how much you would have loved and adored her. RIP Mike. Love and miss you.

I love you daddy!!! I miss you more than words can explain! I am truly blessed to call you MY DADDY!! And even though Athena will never get to sit on your lap or hold your hand, she will know the amazing dad and grandpa you were!! She would have loved you to pieces, just like we did. I'll never forget, as a little girl, teenager and even a grown woman, you randomly singing our song to me!! Still today, I can still hear you singing to me "On the day that you were born the angels got together, and decided to create a dream come true, So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold and starlight in your eyes of blue. That is why all the boys in town, follow you all around, just like me, they long to be close to you"! I love you daddy and I am going to make you proud! May you forever rest in peace and always watch over Athena and I!!

Love Always and Forever,

To friends and family of "Mike D" as I used to call him. I will miss my buddy, and I continue to pray for peace, for him and his family in his passing. We shared some very nice conversations at work and at play on a multitude of subjects. It hurts me deeply to know I won't get a chance to talk sports, food and politics with my friend again. An advid Dolphins fan with well rounded and good taste in music, you are missed already, RIP my friend.

RIP Mike,
Mike was a truely generous person. I met him about 25 or so years ago. We hit it off immediately and both our families got along great. I dont think we missed a NY Jets vs Miami Dolphins televised game while you were in VA. I always looked forward to sharing a cigar and a good drink with you. I still use the humidor your Dad made for me some 20 years ago. You treated me like a best friend from the moment we met and became a trusted mentor and friend. You accomplished so much in your career and I am so proud to say that not only did I work with you but I was friends with you. Melodie and family my deepest sympathies and prayers are with you guys always.

To Mikes kids..he talked about you all of the time. You and his grandchildren were his inspiration. Your dad was a kind, caring man. The kind of guy who would give the shirt off his back to help a stranger. The world is going to miss his presence but heaven just became more interesting. I hope you find peace in the celebration of his life.

Mike,
It was such a joy to know you for 25 years. So many memories of starting your career in the navy, teaching me to ski in New York , opening your home to me in my times of distress and treating me like family. I could not ask for a better caring friend and our talks will always be remembered I know your in heaven looking over us grieving and knowing you helping us understand that we will see you again, Rest in Peace Mike those of us left here on earth will miss you deeply till we see each other again,

RIP Mike...you will forever be in my heart. Even though we could not keep our marriage together, we did become best friends afterwards. I will always treasure the talks that we had and will always remember how you would call me every day to check on me. Two days away from leaving Mexico to come back to VA and this tragedy happens. I guess it just wasn't meant to be for you to get back her to VA to be with us, but I know that you are now in heaven with mom and dad watching over us. I will always love you.

To the family of Mr Mike Doggett. I had the pleasure of working with Mike years back and although you cannot define a person by his occupation, there were a few times that we discussed things other than work. Mike was a good man, he will be sorely missed and thought of often. May he rest in eternal peace and may your family find comfort in the days to come.
