To the family of Eddie Hogge;
I'm sorry to hear of your loss, I am honored to have worked with and around Eddie at the start of my career at NNS.
I know he will be sorely missed. He was always quick with his wit, a joke or a funny story.
With deepest sympathies,
Jeffrey G. Wells

I was saddened and shocked at the untimely passing of Eddie. Our time at The Apprentice School overlapped a period of thirty years. He was a consummate craft instructor who, like all craft instructors, took young men and women with little to no experience in shipbuilding and developed outstanding craftsmanship and leadership that aided them in their careers. I will remember him as a stalwart member of the graduation team (set-up and take-down crew) that made every graduation a first-class ceremony. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. May God grant him peace and give strength to those who remain behind.

To the family of Eddie, I am deeply sadden to hear of Eddie's passing. He was one of the first mechanics I worked with when I came into the apprentice school. He was a very caring person and was always willing to help and lend a hand. God grant you comfort and peace as you move forward into your tomorrows.

Eddie was super fella. Quick wit, fast deep hearty laugh. And he was honest. And good. And he worked tirelessly to mentor, teach and improve future pipefitters. I can't believe I first met him 32 years ago. From day 1 I enjoyed being around him. Some of those theory class stories I could tell would make people scream with laughter. Thank you for the great memories my friend.
Condolences and prayers to the family. May he rest in eternal peace.

Mr. Hogged was my first instructor in my apprenticeship rotation @ NN Shipyard. Taught my first theory class. Great spirit, hard worker, and full of jokes. Would help you anyway he could all you had to do was ask! Shipyard will miss him. Deepest sympathy to his love ones. X42 forever
