John Ratcliffe Obituary

LIGHTFOOT - John D. Ratcliffe answered the Master's call on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, in Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. His life began on January 30, 1942, the son of the late Pauline and Vernon Ratcliffe, of Williamsburg, Virginia. He was a former member of Zion Baptist Church. In 2003, he retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation, after many years of service. He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife, Pandora Ratcliffe; his daughters, Paulette Blake, Holly Harrison (James) and Bernice Morris (Douglas); his sons, Jonathan Ratcliffe and Johndell Morris; his sister, Ella Mae Lee; his six grandchildren; his two great-grandchildren; his sisters-in-law, Beverly Ratcliffe and Regina Blizzard (Linwood); and many other loving relatives and caring friends. A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon on Monday, March 21, 2016, in Whiting's Chapel with the Rev. Morris Randall and the Rev. Linwood Blizzard officiating. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at 6269 Old Mooretown Road by 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Mr. Ratcliffe may be viewed from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home.
