Joshua HUGGETT Obituary

HAMPTON - Joshua Michael Huggett passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010. He was a native and lifelong resident of Hampton.
Joshua was a test engineer in the E-31 Department at the Newport News Shipbuilding. He volunteered in many areas, and through a shipyard program he was a mentor. Joshua was an avid soccer enthusiast, enjoying it both as a spectator and a player. He and his family considered him to be a computer 'geek'. Joshua was a 2004 graduate of Kecoughtan High School. He received a Mechanical Engineer Degree from Thomas Nelson Community College, and was furthering his education at Old Dominion University.
Joshua was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George W. and Dorothy I. Huggett Sr.; and his aunt, Mary Louise Mattson.
He is survived by his parents, Michael W. and Tresa D. Huggett; sister, Tyffani Hammond and husband, Tommy and family; maternal grandparents, Morris D. and Patricia M. Campbell; uncles, George W. Huggett Jr., Ronnie D. Huggett, Dave L. Campbell, Rob D. Campbell, Mike W. Campbell, and Tom E. Campbell, and all their families; and aunt, Bonnie Fay West and family.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Dec. 26, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Joshua's life will be held 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Gregory Studley. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Aid Society, 80 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, 23666.
