Larry . . . I so enjoyed working with you at NASA Langley as an electronics technologist. You taught me so much about working a government job. I also enjoyed playing softball and bowling with you on the NASA bowling league. Your love for sharing quality time with others was so infectious. RIP dear friend I will miss you dearly. My heart hurts and in my final days with you, I found myself not wanting to let you go but then I realized it was time for you to have comfort and peace. I looked back at all the memories we made. Going on summer vacations, Asheville NC being our favorite. You and I always had a connection with nature. Teaching me photography at sandy bottom with tress and birds and learning how to paint flowers. You and I could sit and watch Bob Ross paint for hours. We enjoyed Going to Colonial Williamsburg in the fall for hot apple cider. Anytime I stayed the night with you and granny, she always had a huge breakfast and Nicole and Larry would sit at the table and eat, but I always wanted to be beside you on the couch with a big bowl of cereal watching Bugs Bunny or The Three Stooges just like you. We have many memories of going to different churches for LINK to help the homeless. One of the great memories I have of you was when you sang Lee Greenwood God Bless the USA at United Methodist church and I thought you were famous. No one could tell me any different. We stayed at the library reading Archie comics and Nancy Drew mystery books. I cherish the numerous fishing trips with you, Nicole and Larry at sandy bottom or mariners museum and it was tradition to always get a bucket of KFC chicken. You loved fried chicken and my moms (Carolyn) banana pudding parfaits. It was wonderful going to art gallery´s with you. They were very fancy and we were always dressed to the best in your suit and my little fluffy dress. I loved going to Mathews to Donks Theater with you and granny, you always wanted me to enter and sing. We always would go to Wipe Out Eddie´s and you always had to have a booth and we ordered jalapeños poppers every time. They were our favorite. I enjoyed celebrating your 70th birthday with Barb and the family, you looked so happy. Church Sundays we wore our best and you always had a tin case of peppermint Altoids in your shirt pocket. You always smelt like peppermint. The last 6 months I had with you, you talked often about your siblings Paul (buddy), Brandol, Mike and your sister Nita. I enjoyed that. You shared many memories and emotions for your sons Michael and Larry ( my dad) which made me laugh and cry. The best story ever told was when you and your sons went clamming and you got stuck and couldn´t get back in the boat. I laughed until my ribs hurt. I have so many memories that I hold so close and will never forget. You will always live on through my stories, my memories and in my heart forever. I love you Pop and when my time comes, meet me at the gate, pull me through and give me that endless hug.
Until we meet again,
Tif-Fannie
I love you (3 nods back)
