It's been 3 years Lonnie and still remembering my friend, self described as the "the only one in captivity". I wrote on thus site yesterday but either technology, senility-lol, or you wanted a liitle more ,I believe the later. I have a photo of Tom and I taking you out golfing on your 50th birthday, I look at it often, we always had a great time and Tom loved to jab with you. Miss you buddy but one day, we'll see each other. Love you

There are just so many fond memories of fun and friendship that it's impossible to ever forget you! Hoping you see Bonnie up there in Heaven and tell her how much I love and miss her too! Always your friend, Shirley Woolard

Another year has passed and I know Lonnie is having a blast. I cleaned out my garage this week and it reminded me of him and his garage and how a real live, pretty much life long bachelor organizes, he doesn't, but that was Lonnie. I speak of him often because his life was woven into mine for over forty years. One day we will see each other again and catch up. Love you Lonnie.

It's hard to believe that it's been a year since Lonnie left this world. But never to be forgotten. Not a day goes by that I don't recall a funny story, an adventure that he shared with us,
an unexpected touching moment, a clever hack, how to cook anything in microwave, etc. Love & miss you Lonnie.

It was so nice today to see all the people Lonnie cared for and loved so much in his life. The stories were so wonderful to hear. Lonnie is already greatly missed but it was comforting to remember him today. I love you, Uncle Lonnie!

My sympathy to all whom Lonnie loved. Knew Lonnie back in the day. Seeing his number yet in the Glen Garden party crew log. He liked to simply show up..as he did one night sans the beard we recognized him by at the time. God bless you Lonnie and may you rest in His peace.

Lonnie was truly "one of a kind" and he lived his life like he wanted, down to the end, privately and in full control. In the last 2 months I spent with him, he told me stories about his life, they were more like adventures to me, skiing From Aspen to the Alps and Harleying from Sturgis, Myrtle Beach to Florida, his life was full, full of experiences and friends that I know he was truly grateful for, he loved you all. He loved all people, he never met a stranger, he told me once, when he retired, he wanted to sell everything and travel the country, alone and meet friends he never knew along the way. He never did but I kinda think it was still in his plan. Lonnie was a planner and very intelligent, he knew alot about alot of things and in his last months, days, hours and minutes he planned his end. I say end but it's his beginning, a healthy life filled with family, friends and new friends he has yet to meet. I love you Lonnie, yeah I know "I love me too", until we meet again my friend.

My deepest heartfelt sympathy goes out to Lonnie's dear family. We all gave suffered an immeasurable loss. I prayed for my crazy, funny friend for the last 2 yearsmy last text to him on New Year's was reflecting back on the many New Year's we celebrated in the past and the Memories would live on in my heart! His hard core exterior was a just a thin lining that could be peaked back easily. Too funny, always confident and a great friend to my brother Paul for as far back as I can remember. I'm praying he's met up with Bonnie in Heaven and both are now watching over us. Life gives us friendships to cherish and Lonnie's was definitely one of them. I pray his beautiful family left behind finds comfort in remembering such good times with Lonnie during this difficult time. RIP my friend, now flying with the angels.
