Mary Hudgins Obituary

MATHEWS - Mary Braxton Hudgins, 82, of Mathews, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008.
She retired as Deputy Treasurer from Mathews County. She was a member of Oriental Chapter #30 Order of the Eastern Star, Cricket Hill Chapter of the D.A.R. and Central United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland W. Hudgins; her parents, Robert and Virginia Billups; a foster brother, H.B. Stewart Jr.; and a grandson, Brandon S. Burroughs.
She is survived by two daughters, Elaine H. and husband, Michael R. Campbell, of Newport News and Roberta H. and husband, Dickie Burroughs, of Mathews; three granddaughters, Robyn C. and husband, David S. Giles, Charlotte and husband, Kenzie Cambar, and Rebecca and husband, Larry O'Bryan, all of Newport News; great-grandchildren, Laura and Rachel Giles, Jacob and Justin O'Bryan, Victoria and Elizabeth Cambar, all of Newport News.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, in the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery, Susan. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Mathews Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 1130, Mathews, VA 23109, and/or the Central United Methodist Church, c/o Rebecca Hunley, P.O. Box 506, Mathews, VA 23109.
