Miss Mary was a beloved fixture at Riverdale Apartments. She was known as the Avon Lady or the lady who waved at everyone from her living room window. Whether it was Covered Dish or Ceramics, you could always count on her being first to signup. Residents would arrive earlier and earlier to garner a coveted seat at Miss Merry's table. New residents quickly learned that her table was taken!
Merry was truly a remarkable and memorable person whom I wish more people would strive to emulate. Residents often told me about her acts of kindness and the love that they experienced and would never forget. I was one of her biggest fans!
She deeply loved her family and always shared your latest accomplishments with all who would listen. May you find comfort in knowing that she had a profound influence on so many others. We were blessed to have known and loved this wonderful lady, she is already missed.
