Raymond was a great lawyer and friend for many years. I bought my first house in 1966 and Raymond was the attorney that helped me close. Little did I know at the time that when I went to work in real estate in 1971 that he would be a lifetime mentor and friend.
My deepest condolences to his wonderful family

My name is Sara Parker and I had the pleasure of waiting on Mr. Suttle at his favorite lunch spot, Pearl French Bistro in Newport News. Salmon medium rare with asparagus and a hot cup of coffee. I will never forget how in the beginning he gave me such a tough time....only to find out he was training me and to be a six foot tall lady he sure was pleasurably intimidating. My sincerest condolences to the subtle family who also waited on for a length of time my prayers and thoughts are with you all.

The last member of the last generation of a distinguished family--sister Marie was my third grade teacher, I bought cars from Michael, and Raymond and I had close associations from selling Christmas trees for the Jaycees, his closing the mortgage loan on my first house, and battling it out many times in court as opposing counsel. In all of these Raymond was the perfect gentleman. I feel his loss, and extend my sincere condolences to his family.
