I was so sorry to hear about Renee's passing. She was one of my neighbors in the apartments here. After she went into the hospital the last time, I kept hoping I'd hear that she was coming back home.
She was a dear person with a wonderful sense of humor. I will always miss her.

Leslie and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Although I had not seen her in years, my memory of her easy smile and warm words for everyone will never be forgotten. She was one classy lady with a beautiful spirit. Although you and your brothers and sisters miss her terribly now, I can't help but think that she and your Dad are together again watching over all of you and smiling at the beautiful family they created. I hope your memories of the great times all of you shared with her comfort you during this sad time.

Pam, Leslie, Amy & Neal - I was so sorry to read about your mom's death. I have the greatest memories of her-how she could make you laugh one minute and then give you the "look" that would let everyone know that she meant business. I know that you will miss her terribly but I know that she left a big part of her in each of you. You are in my hearts and prayers.

I am so stunned to learn of Renee's passing. I worked with her some years ago at James River Bank on J Clyde Morris Blvd. Everyday was a joy because Renee was so full of life and laughter. She kept me laughing and not only that was a very thoughtful and caring person. I will always remember her smile. She was a class act and a lovely lady.

Dear Family of Renee J. Salken, I lived above Renee's Mom, Mrs. Jacobs, in the River Drive Apartments in Newport News when my first child , Donna, was born. She was mother and grandmother to me. I loved her friendship and council. Then, I went on to meet Renee and her family and the rest of the clan. I extend my deepest sympathy for your loss. She had a smile and a hug for everyone she met, just like her Mom.
Very sincerely, Joanne K Roos, Yorktown, Virginia

To Amy, Neal & family:

Your mom had the gift of friendship. I remember her in a cabaret rehearsal, carefully reading aloud the words from the bridge of "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree." She was trying to help her fellow singers (and herself) to get the clearest sense of it. All done with a sense of humor, of course. Sorry for your great loss. May her memory bless you.
