Richard HADEN Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Richard Wright Haden passed away peacefully at the Hospice House
of Williamsburg on Friday, Dec. 31, 2010. Mr. Haden was born Nov. 19, 1936, in Mineral, Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh R. Haden and Elva Wright Haden.
He is survived by a brother, Myrt H. Haden and his wife, Gail Abbott Haden
of Front Royal, Va.; a sister, Betty Haden Haskell of Williamsburg, Va.;
a nephew, Bradley H. Haden of Front Royal, Va.; a great-nephew, Brady
S. Haden and a great-niece, Maggie M. Haden, both of Front Royal, Va.
Mr. Haden attended York High School. He retired from Colonial
Williamsburg in 1992, after 23 years of service. He then worked at Busch
Gardens until December 2009. He was an avid model train collector and
was a member of the Williamsburg Train Club for many years.
A celebration of life will be conducted at noon Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, at the Nelsen Funeral Home in Williamsburg, Va. The family
will receive relatives and friends prior to the service at 11 a.m.
The family requests memorials be made to the Hospice House and
Support Care of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg,
Va. 23188, or to a charity of choice.

Richard here is a picture of the Red Train the one you like best to operate.After 18 years on the railroad at Busch Garden it will be hard to find a replacement for you. Keep those big wheels spinning and the train crew will keep thinking about you.

Our loving thoughts are with you Myrt and Betty Jane and all the family. We will never forget our visits to see Richard, his dad and mom, and Betty Jane and Myrt all those Christmas's in the past. All the good memories of the family reunions will never leave us. And we will always remember his love for his trains. They were so fascinating. He will be missed.
