Robert Ragsdale Obituary
Robert graduated from Denbigh High School Aviation Academy with honors. He also attended Thomas Nelson Community College for two years.
Robert loved airplanes and soloed with the Civil Air Patrol at 17. He loved surfing with his friends and chilling at night around the fire pit. Robert felt at peace in nature. He enjoyed camping, hiking, birdwatching and stargazing, and was an expert fisherman. Robert was a talented musician and played the piano and clarinet.
He was very proud of his Scottish roots and family and never missed an opportunity to brag about them.
Robert was a gentle and caring person who was always eager to help people. He had a great sense of humor and lots of energy. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, 1pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home – Denbigh Chapel. A live streaming of the service can be viewed at www.altmeyerfh.com at Robert's obituary page.

I went to high school with Robert and we worked at the Commissary for a few years too. He was always so bright and smiley. Very kind to everyone he was around. I had seen him around a couple of times over the years. I was sad to hear of his passing. I hope that his family finds peace in the memories they have.

We lived next to Robert Ragsdale and his family for many years. My children grew up from infancy to adulthood with Robert and his brother, Thomas. I have delightful memories of Robert and my children playing hide and seek in the evenings, laughing and running around the neighborhood. My condolences to Al, Christine and Thomas. He will be greatly missed by us but will always savor the wonderful memories of him.
