William Jenner Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - William Vernon (Bill) Jenner of Williamsburg, VA passed away in Marathon, FL on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. He was born in Patterson, NJ on March 17, 1942. Bill retired from the Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown, VA after 36 years in the U. S. Navy and civil service. During his tenure, he received the Meritorious Civilian Service Award on March 16, 1992. Bill was a member of Walnut Hills Baptist Church in Williamsburg, VA for 43 years where he served in many capacities. He had many interests including politics, travel, photography and wood carving. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Jenner; daughters, Shannon Schojan (John), Melonie Thompson (Gary) and son, Michael Crowell (Sue); his grandchildren, Leanne Coulter (Ryan), Jessica Thompson (Justin Woods), Seth Thompson, Morgan Odham, Shane Schojan, and Dana Schojan; his great-grandchildren, Kieran Coulter, and Kinsley Woods; his brother, Alan Jenner (Gail); sisters, Linda Tuttle, and Jane McKeon (Jim); his sister-in-law Shirley Zeafla; his brothers-in-law Ronald Ferguson and Tom Ferguson (Betty). He was preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Jean Jenner, and sister, Lenore Dunkel. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, 2:00 PM at Walnut Hills Baptist Church in Williamsburg, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Walnut Hills Baptist Church, 1014 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185.

Joanne so sorry to hear of your loss. Bill was such a wonderful person. I use to love talking with him at church and hearing his stories. He will be grately missed.
