William Lyttle Obituary

William Robert Lyttle Jr. "Bob", 77 of Yorktown, died peacefully on June 8, 2021 in Phoenix, AZ after a brief battle with cancer and amyloidosis.

He was born March 31, 1944 in Belfast Ireland the son of the late William Lyttle Sr. and Evelyn Lyttle. He is survived by his wife, Christine whom he married on June 28, 1974; Daughter Erin Wright; step-children Lynn Bowers, Craig Arrol, Gordon Hanna and their families; his sister Sally Murray; and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Bob spent his younger years in Montreal Quebec, Ohio, Mississippi, Washington, California and Maine before settling down in Yorktown, VA where he retired from Huntington Ingles of Newport News after a career as an HVAC designer.

Bob loved his family, Seahawks football, Montreal Canadiens Hockey, oldies music and old cars. He attended Kirkwood Presbyterian Church where he helped with the churches blood drives.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to the National Organization of Rare Disorders (NORD) in his name.

Only met him the once 5 years ago now in Glasgow. for family reunion, I do know he made my beautiful cousin Christine very happy, and i cant imagine the pain she must be feeling. Her love for you will live on Bob, you were her rock, her soul mate and her best friend. R.I.P Dear Bob. x x
