Lois Jane Shifflett

January 13, 1938 - February 1, 2025

Lois Jane Shifflett, 87, of Stanardsville, took Jesus' hand and entered into her eternal rest on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at her residence. Born January 13, 1938, in Greene County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Osby Shifflett and Gladys Geer Shifflett and wife of the late Hubert Freeman Shifflett. She was also preceded in death by a brothers, Cecil Shifflett and Recil Shifflett and a sister, Peachy Shifflett.

She is survived by two brothers, Melvin Shifflett, Norman Shifflett (Ruth); sister, Barbara Breeden (Ronnie) and sisters-in-law, Christine Shifflett, Shelva Jean Allen and Geneva Shifflet and numerous nieces and nephews that adored her.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Evergreen Church of the Brethren with Leroy Heatwole officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Preddy Funeral Home in Madison was in charge of arrangements.
