Natalie Lattimore Obituary
Natalie Baker Neal Lattimore, age 91, passed away on December 17, 2020, at the Village at Gordon House in Gordonsville, Virginia, where she lived since 2017. Natalie Anne Baker was born on July 1, 1929, in Newton, Kansas, to Thomas Thompson Baker and Nelle Cooper Baker.
Following graduation from Whitewater High School, she attended Kansas State University where she met her husband of 53 years, William Grant Smith Neal. Since 1955, the Neals resided in Altamont, Kansas. After graduating from Pittsburg State College (Kansas) in 1960, she was a teacher for many years at Galesburg High School (Kansas) and Labette County High School (Kansas). She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church, being an elder for many years at the Altamont Presbyterian Church and later at the Oswego Presbyterian Church. After retirement from teaching, she enjoyed quilting and teaching others the heritage craft. She enjoyed many days golfing with her friends and traveling with Mr. Neal, visiting New Zealand and Guam. Mr. Neal passed away in 2000. Mrs. Neal later married Daniel Lattimore and they lived in Ojai, California, until returning to Kansas in 2009, shortly after which Mr. Lattimore passed away. She moved to Virginia in 2017, to be closer to family.
Natalie is survived by a daughter, Candise Fountain (Galen) of Madison, Virginia; son, William G.S. Neal II (Linda) of Mansfield, Texas, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Hugh Baker and Robert Baker, and one sister, Louise Jackson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Altamont, Kansas.
