Auntie Cecilia was not just a long time family friend of my parents, she was an inspiration to all. She supported me when I first worked in SF and I owe her so much! She visited us many times when she passed by Hong Kong on her trips to China. I still remember her gentle smile and encouraging words. We will all miss her. Rest In Peace, auntie Cecilia!

My husband who also was a French restaurateur introduced me to Madame Chiang when she had her original restaurant on Polk Street.
I was impressed with this lady and she invited me to have lunch with her friend who was married to a famous restaurateur named Johnny Kan.s. So I felt delighted to be in such elegant company . My husband was also part of San Francisco's top restaurants at the time. Fleur dy Lys and Charles Bistrot. Madame Chiang taught me the history of holding chop sticks and I like showing friends how to use them.
I send my deepest condolences to the family and friends that will miss her. I have fond memories of Cecillia and I thank her for all of them.
