Arlene Lundquist Obituary
Arlene June Lundquist, 88, of Fleetwood, NC passed away at Ashe Memorial Hospital on August 11, 2024. She was born April 22, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Roy and Grace Lundquist.
After moving to North Carolina, she worked many years as Coordinator of Learning Disability Programs and Student Services at Appalachian State University.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and sister Lois. She is survived by her brother Carl Burton Lundquist (Patricia) of Richmond, IN, nephew Eric Lundquist (Kim), niece Beth Kalopisis (George), grandnephews John and Ryan Kalopisis and grandnieces Mati Kalopisis and Sofi and Anna Lundquist.
The family will host a Celebration of Her Life at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, Friday September 20 at 5:00 pm with visitation starting at 3:00 pm. Send online condolences to the family via the guestbook at www.austinandbarnesfuneralhome.com
