Harry Lynward Beasley, 87, formerly of Charlottesville, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019. He was born in Barnwell, S.C. on January 16, 1932 and was preceded in death by the love of his life, Barbara R. Beasley, to whom he was married for 59 years until her passing in 2010, their son, Harry L. Beasley Jr. as well as his parents. Mr. Beasley proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his children, Gayle, Glenda, Gina, Greta, Gloria, and Lyle and their spouses, along with 13 grandchildren and their families. The family will receive friends at Hill and Wood Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2019. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at the Hill and Wood Funeral Home Downtown Chapel. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery. The family extends their thanks to the many medical staff at Louisa Health and Rehab, UVA Hospital, and Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
