Laura, I am so sorry for your loss. I will never forget working for your husband in the early seventies and coming to your home for dinners. I was in high school, and this was my first job. He was a wonderful person. He will be missed.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Dr. Huang, who was on my UVA Biochemistry thesis committee. I remember Dr. Huang as a wonderful teacher, a patient and humble man, and a fantastic lipid scientist who had stacks of papers everywhere but knew exactly where that critical reference could be found!

My sincerest condolences to. Ching-Hsien Huan, Professor Emeritus at UVA. It was an honor to have assisted him with the finance side of his research. His teaching and mentoring no doubt benefit mankind for discovery of cures and treatment processes. Our UVA team was blessed to benefit in the growth of future medical doctors and researchers under his tenure. It is sad to hear of his passing but he enjoyed many retirement years in his garden and with family. That is happy news.

My deepest condolences to Laura, to Tien-tsin, Tien-wei and their families. Chinghsien´s work on single bilayer liposomes and how they could carry small chemical entities provided the earliest demonstration of lipid nanoparticles, which today is used in the Covid vaccine and other drug delivery systems.
