He is survived by his wife, Teresa Ann Collier Deane; daughter, Carrie Elizabeth Jackson and husband Clay; brothers, Alvin Harris Deane, Jr. and wife, Nancy, Benjamin Wilmer Deane, Gary Wayne Deane and wife, Tracy; sisters, Barbara Ann Shifflett and husband, Steve, Emily Pace and husband, Bill, and Clara Parrott; mother-in-law, Allie Lee Collier; brother-in-law, Wendell Dale Collier and wife, Debbie Sue; 10 nieces and two nephews; and many cousins, family, and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison, Va.
