Frank Pancake Obituary
March 11, 1927 - November 18, 2025
Frank Cody Pancake, Jr. of Keyser, WV, a devoted family man and father, passed away peacefully at the age of 98, on Tuesday, November 18 2025 at Frostburg Rehab Center.
Born on March 11 1927 in Keyser, Frank was a son of the late Frank Cody Pancake Sr. and Robbie N. (Dellinger). He was also preceded in death by his sister, Muriel Hesse Kidner.
Frank graduated from Keyser High School and West Virginia University. He served as a veteran in the US Army of the Vietnam Conflict. He retired as an IRS Federal Government Agent with Hantzmon Wiebel CPA Firm.
A member of New Faith United Methodist Church and attended the Sunnyside Church of the Brethren Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Bobby S. (Smith) Pancake, his son, Frank Cody Pancake III and wife Sherri; his brothers, Richard E. Pancake and Lewis S. Pancake; his grandchildren, Frank Cody Pancake IV and wife Emily, Cole David Pancake and wife Haley and Cassidy Ruth Pancake; his great-grandchildren, Audrey Grace Pancake, Rawley Brooks Pancake and Stetson Kenneth Frank Pancake.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions be made to Boyce Houser Post #41, American Legion, 66 S. Main Street, Keyser, WV 26726.
Friends and family will be received at the New Creek Church of the Brethren on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 12 to 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow the visitation at the church at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Randy Shoemaker officiating. Interment will be in the Pancake Cemetery, New Creek, WV.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Markwood Funeral Home.

Frank is a true one of a kind a person who was a privilege to have been blessed to know. He was always kind and quick with a kind word. And always interested in what was happening in others life´s. My life was made better by the privilege of having met him and his fantastical family. The world is a little darker without his light in it. Truly one of a kind!

I met Frank while working for a coal company in Charlottesville, VA, he was there doing his IRS job for months, he was a great guy, friendly and kind.
