Gail Edelblute Yount

Gail Edelblute Yount passed away on Thursday; November 27, 2025. She was born April 19, 1928, to Hazel Marion Hoffman and Nathaniel Greene Edelblute in Reynoldsville, Pa. She married William Guy Yount December 18, 1948. They were married for 65 years before William's passing in 2014.

Gail graduated from Reynoldsville High School and continued her education at Eastman Dental Dispensary, School of Dental Hygiene in Rochester, N.Y. She served as dental hygienist in the Philipsburg, Pa. school system for two years as well as DuBois, Pa. area schools for over 20 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Reynoldsville, Pa., where in her earlier years, she was active in many capacities.

Surviving are her three children, William E. Yount (Leigh), David G. Yount (Patsy), and Anne Yount as well as cherished nieces and nephews Dan Miller (Patsy), Martha Miller, H. Roy Dannehower (Jennifer), and David Dannehower (Robin).

She leaves her much adored grandchildren, India Sisler (Mike), Sarah Yount, Nate Yount, Maria Wright (Andy), and Hayden Yount (Wynne) along with great-grandchildren, Audrey, Emmett, Alice, Henry, May, Ivy, and Nora.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she is predeceased by sisters, Martha Jane Edelblute, Bess Miller, Kay Dannehower and brother Nathan Edelblute, father to Nate, Susan, and Douglas Edelblute.

The family welcomes memorial contributions to The Reynoldsville Library at 460 E Main St # 3, Reynoldsville, PA 15851 or the Reynoldsville Historical Society at 502 E Main St, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
