Gladys Bickers Moon, 86, of Charlottesville, Virginia went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the Martha Jefferson Hospital.Born on August 22, 1928 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Robert Bickers and Eva Deane Bickers (both deceased). She was married to Thomas J. Moon who preceded her in death in 1984 and was also preceded in death eight brothers and sisters.She is survived by her only son, Thomas Jackson Moon Jr. "Jackie" and his wife, Angela; two granddaughters, Amy Moon Vega and her husband, Luis Vega, and Tiffany Moon Steward and her husband, Lin Allen Steward Jr.; and one sister, Marian Bickers Wilkerson. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren who brought her great joy - Aubrey Williams, Alejandro Vega, Andreas Vega, Azael Vega, and Kayleigh Steward.The family will receive friends Thursday night, December 4, 2014 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Hill and Wood Funeral Home, 201 N. First Street, Charlottesville.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2014 at CrossLife Community Church, 1410 Old Brook Road, Charlottesville, 22901. Pastor Todd Cothran, CrossLife Community Church, will officiate and interment will immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery, Charlottesville, Virginia.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to CrossLife Community Church.Friends may send condolences to her family at www.hillandwood.com.
