Helen Dolan Newton, 76, of Buckingham, ended her long, courageous battle on June 2, 2018. She was born on January 9, 1942, to the late Al F. Dolan, Jr. and Helen Peay Dolan Murphy. She was the widow of Henry Lewis Newton. Helen is survived by her life partner, Ronald "Jason" Fielder; son, Jeffrey Newton and husband, Thomas Rohr; daughter, Cynthia Perkins; granddaughter, Brandy Ballowe; sisters, Audrey Wiseman and husband, Ronnie and Joyce Wiseman; brother, George Dolan and wife, Ann; brother-in-law, Irving Cobbs, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by sister, Janet Cobbs and brother-in-law, John Wiseman. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, 2 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, with interment in the Buckingham Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home. Memorial contribtuions may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
