Mr. Leslie Keith "Tom" Hurt, 62, of Haywood, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017, at his home. He was born on June 13, 1955, in Charlottesville, Va. to the late Clemon Wesley Woodward. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Hurt and Dennis Woodward. He is survived by his mother, Gladys Faye Hurt Woodward; his wife, Julie Mae Hurt; daughter, Kimberly Dawn Perreault and husband, John of Orange, Va.; son, Brian Keith Hurt and friend, Kelly Weakley of Madison; two brothers, Greg Hurt and wife, Marlene of Quinque, Va. and Kent Woodward and wife, Sue of Winchester, Va; two sisters, Karen Weaver of Madison and Kathy Carpenter and husband, Jerry of Oak Park, Va.; grandchildren, Zachary Dean and Cynthia Perreault of Orange, and Blake Hurt of Madison. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, October 6, 2017, at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church with interment in Etlan Cemetery. Pastor Richard Wright will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 6 until 8 pm Thursday, October 5, 2017. Memorial contributions may be made to Preddy Funeral Home in memory of Mr. Hurt.
