Jay Morris Obituary
He was survived by his loving wife, Karen J. Morris; daughters, Amber M. Morris (Josh) and Rachel D. Morris, and bonus daughters, Danielle N. Jones (Travis) and Allison K. Gent; sister, Lisa M. Pence (Chuck); and niece, Sydney P. Gleason (Codie). He was an adoring Pop to two grandchildren, Bentley A. Morris, and Kaiden O. Jones.
Jay was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he attended Albemarle County High School and later graduated from his beloved hometown college – The University of Virginia. He was a loving husband and proud father. He enjoyed spending time with his family, training his black labs – Pepper and Daisy, and learning new songs on his guitar. Jay worked as a facilities manager with CBRE after his 25-year tenure with State Farm. The family and friends that have survived him will miss him immensely.
A memorial to honor and celebrate his life will be held at Orange Baptist Church, Orange, Va., on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be given to The University of Virginia or the charity of your choice, in Jay's honor.

Jay was my Supervisor. He hired me on the spot 9 months ago and gained my Trust immediately. You just knew he was a genuine good person. He will be missed by us here in Jacksonville!!!!

Jay was a colleague and also a friend. We will all miss his humor, Marvel movie spoilers and stories about his girls and grandchildren. He was a trusted member of our team and always willing to help someone in need. His presence on our team was most definitely appreciated and he will be missed by all of us.

Charlotte and Lisa, and family, my heart is bleeding for all of you. I am SO SORRY to learn today, after the funeral, about Jay's passing. I had no idea, so wish I had known. Last I talked to Charlotte was February. Our sweet Jay sent me his beautiful wedding pictures when he got married. I'll never forget him as a little boy when we used to visit Virginia years ago. He was the cutest , prettiest boy I've ever seen. Praying that you both can find peace knowing he is no longer suffering in any way but he is in heaven with Hensel and all our loved ones and we will all be reunited one day in that great reunion in the sky.
